Washcloth Bunny

Cute, and so easy for kids to make.  You can fill the washcloth bunny with a small gift, a party favor,  a candy or a small Easter egg.  Or put an empty washcloth bunny into the freezer, and use as a 'boo-boo bunny' when the kids get minor bumps and scrapes.

Materials required:

  • Wash cloth
  • Rubber band
  • Pompoms (optional)

First remove the tags from your washcloth, then lay it flat on the
table. Next roll up both sides towards the middle.

Now fold the washcloth back on itself and wrap it with a rubber band.
Tuck the bottom into the rubber band to make the body. The picture
shows a black rubber band so it will show up better, but you'll want to
use a clear one.

Now work on the ears by pulling out the points of the washcloth from
inside the roll and folding down the flap behind the ears.

You can add embellishments as you desire or leave them plain. For
example you could add add small pompoms for the eyes and nose with a hot
glue gun. Add a large pompom for the tail.

For a variation, try folding up the washcloth on the diagonal.

Place the rubber band around the washcloth an inch or so from the
doubled over edge, then spread open the body. This results in a rabbit
with big floppy ears. Instead of opening the body, you can keep the end
in a ball shape and now you have a rabbit head with floppy ears.
