MAKE HER FEEL SPECIAL THIS MOTHER'S DAY

Mothers. Where will we be without them? They have brought us to this world and reared us with their love. They stayed with us all throughout our formative years and they were always there to make sure that we would never stray. They never stopped caring for us, even when we have ascended into adulthood with our own lives to take care of.

Indeed, motherhood is a lifelong vocation, and every mother is a hero for the world to emulate. Being a mother, after all, requires a lot of things: patience, benevolence, wisdom, altruism, and a big heart most of all.

And as that day meant to celebrate mothers the world over fast approaches, all of us are in a quandary as to how we could make her feel special come that special occasion. We are all children, come to think of it, and we all have mothers that we so very love and cherish.

So do we make our moms feel special this coming mother's day? Here are some suggestions.

* Cook for her. Remember when we were young and she'd call us once the appropriate meals are ready? It would be really nice if we could repay her for those years by cooking or her. * Treat her out to a fancy dinner. Not all of us are blessed with kitchen skills. For those of us who are quite ignorant with the culinary arts, we could always opt to treat her out to a nice dinner. We will be limited by what our budget could afford, of course, but let's choose a dining place that is as extravagant as our pockets could afford. Mother's day is celebrated only once a year, after all. And a fancy dinner is a good way of thanking her for every blessing that you have experienced in your life.

* Create for her a customized greeting card. Conventional greeting cards that can be bought in most retail stores are well and good, but nothing beats a card that is crafted by your own hands. Even if you're not possessed of any artistic skills, whatever you'll be able to come up with will surely be appreciated by a mother who has shown you so much affection her entire life.

* Buy her jewelry. If you have some cash to spare, jewelry is your best bet for a gift. Jewelry is both elegant and practical. And it can be as timeless as her memory and love. Jewelry isn't something that would expire come time. It would stay with her forever, a perfect symbol for your appreciation of her.

* Create a photo scrapbook for her. Scrapbooks are the easiest, yet the most special gifts to prepare. They are fueled by memories so cherished, and making one for someone dear to your heart would show them how much they truly mean to you. All you need are old pictures and inspiration from moments you treasure with the recipient. A scrapbook is a gift that would be savored forever.

Whether it's as intricate as the suggestions above, or as simple as a phone call to let her know that you remember, mother's day can be celebrated in a very special way, for as long as everything we show and everything we do would come from the heart and in appreciation of the greatest woman in the world.
