This very thing happened with our neighbours, the Jones family. Sally Jones
had four children when she was quite young. They were all growing into

year. Her youngest child was sixteen years old and she had no plans of
having another.

well received, but it turned out to be a little premature.
The following year, Sally discovered that she was going to have another
child at the ripe old age of 40. This news came as a shock to the entire
family. Then as May came closer, they suddenly thought about her Mother's

Of course, Sally was now way too swelled up to wear her ring as it was
coming closer to the time for her to have the baby. The last couple of
months of the pregnancy, she wore her Mothers Day jewelry around her neck.
This did not help the family with their scheme of getting the ring to the
jeweler for the addition. They definitely didn’t want her to get upset by
the notion of losing her prized possession.
Finally, they told her that they were going to have her jewelry cleaned and
serviced at the jeweler’s store. They took nearly every piece of fine
jewelry she owned so she wouldn’t become suspicious. When they finally gave
her the new and improved Mother's Day jewelry she broke down in tears with
relief that her ring was updated to suit the family. Now she just needed to
wait for the swelling to go down so she could wear it on her finger.
